What is Myofascial Release?

Myofascial release is a specialized treatment that consists of a "hands-on” technique used to mobilize muscles, joints, fascia (connective tissue) and nerves to facilitate healing and restore function.

How does Myofascial Release work?

Myofascial Release is typically performed as needed for occasional distress or as a tune up in a 60 minute session. Sessions use a multitude of interventions to a specific area using gentle, sustained pressure allowing the tight, short  or restricted area to elongate. This  results in decrease of pain, more freedom of movement and an immediate increase in well-being.

Who should consider Myofascial Release?

People from all walks of life can benefit from myofascial release. Most clients seek Myofascial Release as a tune up for occasional distress and tightness, losing flexibility or function from overuse or a small injury, or they feel an excessive pressure on muscles or joints producing pain. Clients also schedule an appointment for general well-being,  before traveling, an upcoming race, competition, sporting event, or training routine. Clients seek Myofascial Release as a better  solution than traditional therapies.
